What can young people do to make the world a better place? How to bring your own ideas to life without having to become a little cog in a big organization? How to do something for those who are disadvantaged and suppressed, for needy children, for the sick in the countries of the global south (so called developing countries) and how to change those conditions? How to do more than just criticizing and nagging, even though my financial means may be meager?
Those were the guiding questions which made Andreas Huber trigger the formation of an initiative of young and motivated people in and around Eggenfelden in the summer of 2005, to “get something going” on a self-organized basis. To make sure that every cent donated reaches its intended target, it was agreed upon founding an NGO which only supports projects where there is an established personal contact.
